DR. MYRA DICKSON*, RETIRED PUBLIC EDUCATOR BILL TATE*, RETIRED LOCAL BUSINESSMAN, VIDEOGRAPHER AND PICTORIAL ARCHIVIST FOR THE MUSEUM VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
BILL TATE is a Lenoir Native who attended Lenoir High School. After a long career as an automotive mechanic, he developed an interest in video technology and became a devoted volunteer at the Museum. He has video recorded many events at the Museum, including scores of the “Coffee With the Curator” (now “Coffee With The Director” presentations. Bill has also sought and a recorded on digital video media thousands of historic photos of Caldwell County. As he obtains access to these photos, and motion picture film as well, he restores them, and files them in a library that includes a search engine. The latest count is NINETEEN THOUSAND (19,000) VIDEO ITEMS.
